Starlab
The Teacher Center owns portable, inflatable planetariums, a “STARLAB”, which has been used in most of our school districts.
Starlab may be borrowed by any teacher who has been trained to use it. Training is free and the next sessions will be posted on bulletin boards in each school building.
The Sullivan County Teacher Center is pleased to be able to continue to bring this important and valuable educational resource to all local schools again for the 2007-08 school year. We have received additional monies from the state and have purchased two new domes (planetariums) and fans. We also will have the two older domes available, should anyone want to use one.
To schedule a time to borrow STARLAB, or to enroll in one of the training classes, call our Starlab Coordinator Carla Dworetsky. Carla can be reached at the Liberty Elementary School,
845-292-5400, ext 2030.
Please read the following PDF file as new information has been included in regard to Starlab.
A schedule for the 2007 - 2008 school year is included as well as information on becoming trained to use this resource.
