SUNY New Paltz

The Department of Educational Administration offers a 30 credit master's degree with a concentration in Educational Administration plus four certification programs including a joint program for SBL/SDL that enable prospective administrators to be granted certification by the State of New York. Candidates may obtain:

• School Building Leader (SBL)

• School District Leader (SDL)

• School District Leader (SDL Transition D)

• School District Business Leader (SDBL)

State certification is needed for New York State supervisory positions. All candidates must take the State Education Department school leadership exam(s) as appropriate for their area of certification.
